Our Officiant - Andy Malone!

With delight we announce that our dear friend Andy Malone will serve as our officiant. In addition to being a great role model as devoted husband and father, Andy is an amazingly inventive artist and actively contributes his energy and creativity to the community. We're grateful to have his presence and support at our wedding.

Learn more about Andy here: www.andymalone.com.

Registry

After a number of requests , we decided to register and have picked out a few items at Williams-Sonoma. We hope this offers some helpful guidance to those who are looking for such.

Thanks,

Leah + Nick

Invitation Art

We had such a good time with the invitations, we wanted to let you in on a little bit of the work that went on behind the scenes. - L+N

Leah created a series of original paintings - working with oil-based enamel paint on a mylar surface. As each one is unique, we felt we would share some snapshots so people could see a few of the other works.

(See more of Leah's work at her website: www.leahkeller.com)

Nick's contribution was more process-based. He carved the design for the exterior of the invitation out of linoleum block and then painted and hand-pulled each print. (They are signed and numbered on the back of each card.)

Song and Dance Requests

We’re compiling a playlist of tunes to get folks out on the dance floor after the dinner reception – and we’re taking requests! So if there’s something you’d love to hear, drop us a line, and we’ll add it to the mix.

Accommodation Options

We have rooms on reserve at three different sites. We recommend the Crowne Plaza in Auburn Hills, as our experiences interacting with them have been impeccable. The Hudson Inn (B&B) in Romeo sounds delightful as well. Finally, there's the Best Western in Auburn Hills, it's a little closer to the wedding site than the Crowne Plaza. See below for specific details. And don't hesitate to ask us if you have any further questions.

Thanks, Leah and Nick

§ Crowne Plaza Hotel – Auburn Hills, MI ~ $89/night (wedding rate), 45 mins from wedding site·

  • Call to reserve: 248-373-4550
  • 1500 N. OPDYKE RD, AUBURN HILLS, MI 48326
  • 24-hr fitness center, indoor, heated pool and jacuzzi. On-site restaurant and bar, and several others in close driving vicinity.

When checking in, you may want to inquire as to whether there will be an event at The Palace (the Pistons play there) on Saturday afternoon/evening. If there is, the hotel can advise you about budgeting extra time to get around event traffic.

For a room upgrade to include jacuzzi, call Anne-Marie to discuss special rates. Her direct line is 248-232-7292. The block will be held until 3 weeks prior to the wedding - at that point the rooms will be released to the general public. Make sure you book your room by August 7th.

Hudson Inn (B&B) Romeo, MI ~ $95 - $115/ night, 30 mins from wedding site

  • 198 West St. Clair Romeo, MI 48065
  • Call to reserve: 248.703.1450

The Hudson Inn bed and breakfast is right in downtown Romeo, walking distance from several restaurants and other quaint, small-town things to do. If 4-5 rooms are reserved for the Keller/Sousanis party, Lori Hudson (the Innkeeper) will discount the rooms before charging you as you check out. There are common areas with space to socialize and play games together, etc. The entire house has A/C, so you can count on a comfortable sleep.

When reserving at either the Crowne Plaza or the Hudson Inn, be sure to identify yourself as guests of the Keller/Sousanis wedding. If you would like to mapquest/google map the wedding site, here's a link with the address and a local area map.

Alternate location:
Best Western Palace Inn, Auburn Hills ~ $82/ night, 35 mins from the wedding site
2755 Lapeer Road
Lake Orion, MI 48360
